One of the most common questions people ask before scheduling a reading is whether an online tarot reading can be as accurate as an in-person session. The answer is absolutely yes. Many people assume that a reader must be sitting across the table from them to connect with their energy. While face-to-face readings can certainly be enjoyable and personal, physical proximity is not what makes a reading accurate. The true foundation of tarot, psychic work, and spiritual guidance is energy.

My understanding of energy has been shaped not only by years of conducting tarot and psychic readings but also by extensive personal study. Energy is not limited by distance; the energy of the person receiving the reading does not exist solely within their physical body. It extends beyond the body and can be perceived, interpreted, and connected with regardless of location.

Think about how information travels: a phone call can instantly connect two people who are thousands of miles apart, and a video call allows us to see and hear one another across continents. While energy does not travel in the same way as technology, the comparison illustrates an important principle: meaningful connections are not dependent upon physical proximity. In my experience, energy is not confined by physical distance, walls, cities, states, or even countries.

Whether a reading takes place in person, by phone, through Zoom, or via another online platform, the energetic connection remains available. In fact, some of the strongest, most accurate, and most detailed readings I have ever conducted have occurred when the client was hundreds or even thousands of miles away. Physical distance has never been a reliable measure of the quality of an authentic energetic connection. To be clear, Spirit energy is not bound by our physical laws.

For readers who work not only with tarot but also with spiritual guidance, mediumship, or spirit communication, the concept of distance becomes even less important. Spirit does not operate under the same physical limitations that govern our everyday lives and bodies. Spirit can access and present information regardless of the client's location.

In my experience, spirit can bring a person's energetic presence into the reading space without their physical body ever entering the room. While this may sound unusual to some, it is a concept that many experienced spiritual practitioners understand well.

Everyone carries an energetic field that contains the experiences of their life. Within that field are past experiences, past and present challenges, emotional patterns, relationships, personal growth opportunities, lessons learned, unresolved questions, and future possibilities and directions. The answers many people seek are often already present within their own energy.

A skilled reader helps interpret and translate that information into meaningful guidance that can be understood and applied. For many readers, this energetic information is then supplemented by spiritual guidance, intuition, and messages received through spirit. However, this should not discount the role of tarot cards in a tarot card reading.

Many people assume the cards themselves are doing all the work. The truth is that tarot readers work in different ways. For some readers, the cards provide the entire message. The meanings of the cards are interpreted according to traditional systems and symbolism. For many experienced and comprehensive readers, however, the cards serve a different purpose.

The cards become the starting point. They open the conversation. They establish the energetic focus. The cards highlight the themes and areas that require attention. From there, intuition, energetic perception, spiritual guidance, and the reader's experience expand the message into a deeper and more personalized reading. In this sense, the cards are not the destination—they are the doorway.

And when considering which is better, the reality is that neither format is inherently superior. An in-person reading can provide a personal atmosphere and face-to-face interaction. An online reading offers convenience, comfort, accessibility, and often the ability to receive guidance from a reader you connect with regardless of geography. What ultimately determines the quality of a reading is not whether it occurs online or in person. What matters most is the connection between reader and client, the client's openness, the reader's skill and ethics, and the clarity of the energetic communication. When those elements are present, online tarot readings can be every bit as accurate, insightful, and transformative as readings conducted across a table.

Energy does not disappear simply because a computer screen, phone line, or physical distance exists between two people. Energy connects. Spirit connects. Guidance flows. And that connection is available wherever you are.
